World Binder

Privacy policy

Last updated 5 November 2026.

This policy covers world-binder.com. It explains what the game stores about you, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us through the contact page.

If you play without an account

Your answers, scores, statistics, chosen look and a random device code are saved in your own browser (local storage). They stay on your device. When you submit an answer, our server receives the answer to score it and does not keep it.

If you arrive through someone’s invite link, we store the random device code, a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and the time, so we can credit the person who invited you once you finish an edition and stop the same visit from being counted twice. If you never finish an edition, that record is deleted after 90 days.

If you make an account

We do not ask for your email address, real name or location.

Security records

To slow down password guessing and spam, we record failed logins (the username tried and a hashed IP address) and new signups and contact messages (a hashed IP address). These records are deleted after one day.

Contact messages

If you write to us, we store your message, the name and reply address you choose to give, and a hashed IP address. We use them only to read and answer your message.

Cookies and similar storage

Advertising

World Binder is free and is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ad Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent tool asks for your choice before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the link the message provides.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (European Union), the UK GDPR or the LGPD (Brazil) give you the right to access, correct, delete or move your data and to object to its use. We will help you exercise those rights.

Children

World Binder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has made an account, contact us and we will delete it.
